Rice Pudding


50g (2oz) Pudding rice 
600ml (1 pint) milk 
30ml (2tblsp) sugar 
Put rice into greased ovenproof pie dish. Stir in the milk and sugar. Bake in the oven at 150C, 300F Gas Mark 2 for 2 hours, stirring occasionally until thickened and creamy. Serve warm.


  • Put all ingredients into a deep bowl.
  • Cook, uncovered on Full Power for 8 minutes. Stir once.
  • Cook on Low Power for 40 minutes.
  • Allow to stand for 10 minutes, stir again and serve.
  • Based on a 650 Watt Microwave.
